In Your Eyes 03:19
In Your Eyes Hold my hand steal my heart, find a way for us to start On your face is a smile you disguise, we’ve been through this before Push my way out the door, cause I can’t stand that look in your eyes The silence on my phone, tells me you are not alone, it’s time that I find my way No more words no more lies, nothing left to criticize Cause I can’t stand the look in your eyes Words you spoke soft and sweet at the start, but you changed let my world fall apart Yet I tried all in vain, cold and bare like the rain Just a man full of pain nothing more Baby tell me the truth Was it me, was it him, was it you Stars collide but find their way Where they land It’s hard to say Now I go on this ride without you by my side, maybe time will be my new friend Hit the road if I choose, more I stay more I lose Cause I can’t stand the look in your eyes No no no... No I can’t stand the look in your eyes

Lilly 04:20
Lilly In the early hours, before the clock strikes 5 The light comes on down the hallway and I know she is alive I hear the shuffle of her slippers on the floor I just can’t wait to see her, when she walks through the door She rubs her tired eyes and stops to say hello She’s really scarry, with her curlers to and fro She’s off to work now, and I don’t know what I’ll do Another day-- and I don’t know if I can make it through When I’m alone, she seems so far away When I’m alone, every day.... Over on the fridge, there’s a bug that I adore All day long he crawls from the door down to the floor If he was bigger, I would surely say hello But he’s just a bug- and that’s all he’ll ever know When she comes home, she’ll open my door up wide When she comes home-- then I’ll fly When she comes home, everything’s gonna be OK When she comes home, when she comes home Every time that Lilly leaves I feel so down and out Will she return, before the moon comes out Did I hurt your feelings, or forget to say goodbye Is this just punishment for telling you a lie? Oh I hate it, when her boyfriend’s in the house He always smells like beer, and talks-- so loud Sometimes they get close, and they begin to dance Oh I know I’d beat him up, if I -- ever had the chance When she comes home, she’ll open my door up wide When she comes home-- then I’ll fly When she comes home, everything’s gonna be OK When she comes home, when she comes home When she comes home, when she comes home When she comes home, when she comes home When she comes home, when she comes home When she comes home, when she comes home

Escapeway 04:13
Escapeway Look in your past, decide your future Until the everlast, no sense of humor Blind to the obvious, what can you see It’s right in front of you, so don’t look at me Question everything, in what is known It’s driving blindy, no stepping stone Cause I...... Want you to turn my way.... Bright light, step in the dark Trying to inspire, not knowing how to start In this case, you missed your cue That’s all right, you never had a clue Cause I...... Want you to turn my way.... Cause I...... Need an escapeway Question everything, in what is known It’s driving blindly, no stepping stone Tell the truth, what’s the virtue The answers wrong, discussed -- thereunto Making moves --by tempting fate Your inclusion, is making weight..... Cause I...... Want you to turn my way.... Cause I...... Need an escapeway We just need an escapeway So let’s meet in a Safeway Believe me it’s the best way to find our escapeway Cause I...... Want you to turn my way.... Cause I...... Need an escapeway Cause I...... Want you to turn my way.... Cause I...... Need an escapeway

Fallin BabyI’m fallin, so far from the top Please catch me I’m fallin, no way I can stop My glass house is full up with stone, bad love right or wrong Cry like some foolish child, you-just-string me along You got me comin’ and goin, but baby please just let me go I stumble & crumble, you stick around for the show Strapped in cut my chin on the ride, but you won’t pay my fare Now I’m crashing hard, can’t breathes, so high on thin air Hear me I’m callin-- from out on this limb shut my eyes and disguise, what I’ve done, Who I’ve been... Hear me I’m callin-- from out on this limb shut my eyes and disguise, what I’ve done, Who I’ve been...

Better Times 04:40
Better Times I was only 19, old boots on my feet A rainy summer Sunday, I met you on the street Your hair flowed like honey, your lips like summer wine You wrapped me in your love, those were better times I grew up way too quickly, had a jealous heart All the boys they loved you, no way for us to start Smelled like sweet spring flowers, blue eyes were sublime I tried not to cage you, how could I be so blind Broken words and broken dreams, crazy human schemes Fragile hearts are not a crime, Looking through the looking glass, gazing to the past Fading pictures in my mind, back when you were mine, going back to better times Drove that old gold Chevy, down to Monterey Left you by the roadside, cause I had to get away California Dreamin, was a nightmare in my mind Sorry that you loved me, love is so unkind Broken words and broken dreams, crazy human schemes Fragile hearts are not a crime, Looking through the looking glass, gazing to the past Fading pictures in my mind, back when you were mine, going back to better times

Redeemer 04:32
Redeemer All of us have to go sometime, but some of us have to go now I’m sitting here in the sunshine, somebody’s going to go down Hanging around in the future, doing your best in the past Finding you were enlightened, turning your sand into glass Only a dreamer, sees what a hell it is No one believed her -- she wasn’t the kind All you believers-- stay on the safer side She’s a redeemer in her younger time Trying to give you the real thing, Nobody cares where you are Only the light of the morning, Rushes along with your car You don't know what it takes to break free No time to think it over You stood in line to be redeemed looking over your shoulder Sensing the season is changing Knowing that you might be too Remember the rule to the reason Change is what you choose to do Everything’s gonna be fine...

Fair Fight 03:46
Fair Fight Whose side are you on, whose corner are you in Fightin’s hard well that’s -- nothing new Every round, I take with you, feels like two I’m climbing out of this ring, holding on for dear life the more I give, the more I’m burned I give it out -- that was my mistake, thought I’d learned How many times can I crawl back to you lie to myself cause I can’t stand up Knock me down, that’s one for you You always have it your way, And I can never say no A thousand times --but I just forget This crazy heart’s not broken yet, no regrets How big a punch should I take, It only counts if I bleed I throw one back, but I’m goin down It’s like you win when I-- hit the ground, take your crown Take your corner and I’ll take mine Lose the gloves ring the bell, it’s time In the morning-- I’m still not right Cold in bed-- all through- the night No fair fight, no fair fight, no fair fight, no fair fight

Secret Agent 03:19
Secret Agent Girl She’s on the strangest wavelength Hands on the wheel of the life she drives She’s not a secret agent No one detects her deception There’s gonna be hell to pay No more blue skies Wonder why you get so jaded Somehow you manage to stay upright We’re all amazed that you made it It’s gotta be tough when you know that There’s gonna be hell to pay No more blue skies it never turns out your way I’ll tell you why, I’ll tell you why She leads a life of danger Another chance she takes Better see that she’s a stranger Every move she makes, every move she makes She can't escape our detection Naked alone without a disguise A girl so lost no affection Uncover the code and find no surprise There’s gonna be hell to pay No more blue skies it never turns out your way I’ll tell you why, I’ll tell you why
9.
Trouble 03:51
Trouble Early in the morning when the sun comes up, he hangs out his sign Day after day he lives on luck but he’s running out of time He sits there, in his cardboard chair oblivious to all they say they come around, try to knock him down but he gets up and walks away He’s thinking I don’t look for trouble-- but trouble finds me... Going to the church on Jackson St. to help in the line Out the door and down the street its almost closing time These kids seem hungrier every day but that don’t seem to worry them A boy with a gun cradled in his hand, soon he’ll be doing time He’s thinking I don’t look for trouble-- but trouble finds me She’s smart young and beautiful Who could ask for more Grabs her phone and keys heading out that door She goes to the club to see some friends from school But there’s no telling what she’ll find The boys at the bar going way too far I guess she’s got to throw out all her rules She’s singing I don’t look for trouble (I don’t look for..) I don’t look for trouble (I don’t look for..) I don’t look for trouble-- But trouble finds me.

You Won't 03:15
You Won’t You won't... You won’t be hungry when he puts it on your plate You won’t be happy when he’s making you go straight Idly wandering, home from the park at night Haven’t you even a clue Casually conquering everything in your site Now that you know what to do You might look silly if you didn’t look insane You said so simply what was so hard to explain Idly wandering, home from the park at night Haven’t you even a clue Casually conquering everything in your site Now that you know who to do You won’t...

about

Our debut record, recorded in the spring of 2019, has been percolating for a few years. These 10 songs encapsulate the rhythm and motions felt while negotiating life's relationships. Sometimes it seems we're on the strangest wavelength.
